Radio
personality, syndicated columnist, best-selling author,
and now syndicated TV talk show host Larry Elder brings
his refreshing candid style to daytime television this
fall with "The Larry Elder Show."
Elder has been a top-rated,
driving force on Los Angeles talk radio for more than
a decade, and his daily program has been nationally syndicated
since 2002 on ABC Radio Networks. Inspiring legions of
fans, dubbed "Elderados," Larry Elder's insight
on topical, provocative issues has already earned him
a Los Angeles area Emmy Award.
Larry Elder is a self-made
man. Emphasizing "personal responsibility" as
the key to success, he embodies his own philosophy. Born
to a loving family and raised in the South Central section
of Los Angeles, a neighborhood where opportunities may
seem scarce, Elder embraced his own future -- and its
myriad possibilities -- attending Brown University, where
he received a BA in Political Science. He went on to earn
his law degree at the University of Michigan, working
as an attorney in Cleveland, Ohio and eventually starting
his own legal recruitment firm, Laurence A. Elder and
Associates. At the same time, he hosted an issue-oriented
television show in Cleveland, first on PBS, then on the
local Fox affiliate. Later, as a reporter on PBS' "National
Desk," Elder won a 1998 AEGIS Award of Excellence,
a 1998 Telly Award and a 1999 Emerald City Gold Award
of Excellence. He went on to author two best-selling books,
The 10 Things You Can't Say in America (2000) and Showdown:
Confronting Bias, Lies and the Special Interests that
Divide America (2002). He also hosted the television show
"Moral Court," distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic
Television Distribution, which is currently in its fourth
rerun cycle on WCIU-TV (Chicago).
In addition to "The Larry Elder
Show," Elder currently writes a national newspaper
column for Creators Syndicate and continues his daily
radio show. For more information on the radio show, visit

An insightful figure with
an inspirational message, Larry Elder has been profiled
on "60 Minutes" and "20/20," and has
logged appearances on news/talk shows including "Oprah,"
"Larry King Live," "The Tonight Show"
and "The Today Show." The no-nonsense host has
also portrayed himself on sitcoms such as "Spin City"
and "The Hughleys," and appeared in the TV dramas
"American Dreams" and "Soul Food.
In line with his philosophy
of taking personal responsibility for one's own life,
Larry Elder recently established the Larry Elder Charities,
a non-profit organization that will contribute to groups
and individuals offering non-government, self-help solutions
to problems of poverty, crime, poor parenting, dependency
and education.
Larry Elder's message is
clear: personal responsibility yields results - and with
"The Larry Elder Show," a new crop of "Elderados"
will be inspired to set personal goals and enhance the
quality of their lives. |
