The Situation Then: Dawn and Roy appeared on the “Weight Harassment” show on October 1, 2004. After bearing four children, Dawn had gained about 90 pounds and had tried “every diet in the book” to no avail. Unfortunately, Roy’s constant name-calling only fueled her insecurity. Roy defended himself by saying he didn’t mean to hurt Dawn but that it was a means of pushing her buttons when she annoyed him.

The Situation Now: Since their appearance on the show, Roy’s verbal abuse is lessening. He says he now realizes the hurtful impact his name-calling had on Dawn. Now the couple is embarking on a weight-loss plan so they can share the experience of getting healthier.
