In his first interview since Mary Kay Letourneau was released from jail, Fualaau sat down with Larry to talk about his feelings for her and how their affair first transpired. Fualaau revealed that it was he who first pursued Letourneau, despite the fact that she was married with four children. See what he had to say about the genesis of their relationship.

As their relationship grew, she tried to resist the attraction as he repeatedly asked her when they could be together. Letourneau’s resistance proved futile -- the teacher and her sixth grade student embarked on an affair that would soon be discovered by her husband and reported to the police by her sister-in-law, leading to a short stint in jail for Letourneau.

Letourneau was released from jail on the condition that she could no longer see Fualaau, but they resumed their affair and Letourneau was once again sentenced – this time for seven years. Watch the clip of Fualaau talking about how the couple coped throughout the separation.

Now that Letourneau is out of prison, she and Fualaau, now 21, are free to pursue their relationship. Fualaau says they plan on getting married and having more children despite the negative stigma surrounding them.
