Marriages in
Jeopardy Over Verbal Abuse
Verbal abuse can often be just as painful as
physical abuse, and no one knows that better
than today’s guests. They say that their
spouse’s behavior is driving them to the
brink of divorce. Learn their stories below:
After two years of marriage, Jessica and Wenton
both admit to potentially relationship-ending
behavior. Ever since Wenton cheated on her shortly
before their wedding, Jessica has been verbally
abusing him on a daily basis. Wenton wants Jessica
to get anger management counseling, but Jessica
isn’t sure whether that will help her trust
again. Expert Stacy Kaiser counseled the couple,
saying that Wenton must learn that confrontation
is necessary at times, while Jessica must realize
that her verbal abuse is only worsening the situation.

Julie
is fed up with Jose’s name-calling and
abusive behavior, which is only exacerbated when
he drinks. She says he has even gone as far as
harassing her in front of their family members
and children. However, Jose maintains that he
isn’t solely to blame. According to Jose,
Julie knows how to push his buttons and does
so intentionally to start arguments. Video
